A BoardEffect Case Study
The Louisiana Restaurant Association, a statewide nonprofit trade association with about 4,500 members, needed a better way to manage board meeting documents, protect proprietary information, and give many board members and committees secure access to shared materials. Its staff also struggled with scattered historical documents, time-consuming administrative work, and controlling access as members’ roles changed.
BoardEffect provided a secure board management platform with Document Library, granular permissions, secure file sharing, and Workrooms for committee collaboration. With BoardEffect, LRA built a comprehensive archive of minutes, agendas, reports, audits, and action items, improved control over confidential information, and enabled encrypted document sharing without email. The result was easier access to historical materials, more efficient committee management, and stronger cybersecurity and governance support.
