A BoardDocs Case Study
Tillamook School District #9, a rural Oregon district serving approximately 2,100 students, struggled with slow, paper-based board packet workflows that made last-minute changes difficult, raised costs for paper/toner/delivery, and limited transparency and professionalism. After investigating options at the NSBA conference in 2016, the district adopted BoardDocs’ paperless governance solution to modernize agenda creation and public access.
BoardDocs replaced Word-to-PDF packets with a device-driven online agenda system that supports real-time edits, instant remote collaboration, and one-click access to agenda items. The district reports measurable benefits from BoardDocs — saving “a minimum of a full day’s work” per meeting, cutting paper/toner/gas costs, improving meeting efficiency, and boosting public perception of the board’s professionalism and governance.
