Case Study: Warren County School District achieves paperless, streamlined board management with BoardDocs

A BoardDocs Case Study

District finds great success with board and policy work using BoardDocs Pro

Warren County School District (PA) wanted to move to paperless board meetings but faced a labor-intensive process: compiling 22 paper packets of 200+ pages took a week, consumed about 11 reams of paper per meeting, and required a driver to deliver materials across the district’s 788 square miles. After seeing a demonstration at the 2004 PSBA conference, the district adopted PSBA BoardDocs Pro from BoardDocs in 2005 to address these challenges.

BoardDocs implemented PSBA BoardDocs Pro with workflow features so committee secretaries manage content and the board secretary performs final approval, enabling real-time edits, searchable agendas, and public transparency. The result: elimination of bulky paper packets and deliveries, a dramatic reduction in printing (about 11 reams per meeting saved), much faster agenda preparation (from a week to near real-time), improved efficiency and less staff stress, and easier access to historical information for board members and the community.
