Clayton School District - Customer Case Study

Clayton School District, a tradition-minded K–12 district in St. Louis County, faced the challenge of modernizing 50 years of paper-based board minutes and making board documents more accessible to the public. Administrative Assistant Lois Geschke researched paperless options and selected BoardDocs’ paperless governance solution to provide online access, streamlined agendas and electronic records for stakeholders.

BoardDocs was implemented district-wide in January 2006 with its digital audio feature added in April 2006, allowing Clayton to embed meeting recordings into each agenda item, provide single‑click printing of packets, instantly revise agendas for board members, and search archived documents. The BoardDocs solution boosted transparency and efficiency—community members can access full board materials from any computer, minutes are more accurate thanks to embedded audio, and staff no longer rely on tape recordings or manual printing and delivery.
