BoardDocs Board Management, Eliminating the Guessing Game

Imperial County Office of Education faced a cumbersome, paper-based board management process in which departments printed, routed and initialed agenda items manually, creating delays and confusion. Dr. Todd Finnell introduced the BoardDocs board management solution, which ICOE adopted to move document creation and approvals into a virtual, centralized system and eliminate the “guessing game” around board documents.

BoardDocs implemented a digital agenda and routing workflow (later upgraded to BoardDocs Pro with Plus) that gives publishers visibility into routing, clear accountability for approvers, and anytime/anywhere access for board members. As a result, ICOE eliminated manual printing and routing, expanded use across five departments, improved remote access for members statewide, and reported such strong adoption and support that they rarely need to call for help—benefits made possible by BoardDocs’ training and ongoing product enhancements.
