A Boardable Case Study
The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI), founded in 1839 in Dublin, needed to centralize communications and document sharing across its boards, committees and subcommittees. In 2017 IT manager Elaine McCarthy trialed Boardable to support board engagement for the main Board and Council (41 users who meet six times per year), seeking a secure, single place to manage meeting papers and member communication.
Boardable delivered group-based access controls, a Document Center, discussion and poll features, and an intuitive interface, enabling RIAI to expand from the initial Board and Council rollout to six main committees and multiple subcommittees. The platform simplified operations, saved staff time, improved member usability, justified upgrading to a higher user tier for increased productivity, and — with Boardable used in 22 countries — supported organisation-wide adoption.
