How the Indiana University Alumni Association found time savings and a better board experience from using Boardable

Indiana University Alumni Association, a nonprofit supporting alumni across eight campuses, manages a large, distributed volunteer leadership team (14 Board of Managers, 36 Executive Council members, 26 past chairs, with 48% living outside Indiana). Executive Director of Governance Rebecca Keith needed a way to organize meeting materials, reduce manual agenda-building, and improve remote participation; after evaluating options the organization selected Boardable’s board portal to streamline board management.

Boardable implemented a board portal with hands-on onboarding, agenda automation, secure document storage and linking, mobile access, and branding/customization, plus ongoing support during rollout. As a result, the Indiana University Alumni Association eliminated much manual packet assembly (Rebecca previously spent 10–15% of her time on prep), moved the majority of notes and communications onto Boardable, improved continuity and scalability, and freed staff to focus on relationship building and succession planning.
