A Boardable Case Study
Friendship Force is a global nonprofit with more than 15,000 members in 63 countries whose 13-member board is distributed across seven countries. Managing board communications by email and Google Docs made producing twice-yearly 100+ page board books and coordinating committees slow, error-prone, and unscalable, so the organization looked for a purpose-built solution and chose Boardable’s cloud-based board management platform.
Boardable implemented an easy-to-use platform (agenda builder, online board book, threaded discussions) and supported rapid onboarding, enabling more frequent virtual committee work and emergency monthly boards during COVID-19. The switch improved engagement and meeting productivity, let Friendship Force cut software costs by $3,000–$5,000 annually, saved about $20,000 per in-person meeting by moving virtual, and helped the board shift to fewer in-person meetings while maintaining strategic focus.
