Case Study: Democratic Municipal Officials achieve increased efficiency and board accountability with Boardable

A Boardable Case Study

Preview of the Democratic Municipal Officials Case Study

Democratic Municipal Officials Use Boardable

Democratic Municipal Officials (DMO) is a national nonprofit made up of elected municipal officials whose five-member board — spread across the country — struggled with virtual meeting coordination, missed updates, scattered documents, and a general lack of board accountability. To address these challenges they evaluated several options and selected Boardable’s board management platform to centralize communication and board materials.

Using Boardable (implemented in fall 2016), DMO adopted consent agendas, created digital board books, attached documents directly to agendas, and eliminated printed packets, requiring members to refresh Boardable before meetings. The result was a measurable increase in efficiency and effectiveness: clearer member responsibilities, on-time reports and responses, improved between-meeting communication, and easier onboarding — outcomes DMO credits directly to Boardable.
