Case Study: Rolls-Royce achieves clearer, more strategic board papers and time savings with Board Intelligence

A Board Intelligence Case Study

Preview of the Rolls Royce Case Study

Rolls Royce - Customer Case Study

Rolls Royce, the FTSE 100 engineering company, struggled with board papers that were overly technical, long and dense, making it hard for directors to focus on high‑level strategic issues. They engaged Board Intelligence to help the secretariat produce clearer, more consistent and strategically focused papers using targeted training and a tailored version of Board Intelligence’s Write reporting toolkit.

Board Intelligence ran six workshops to train 100 regular report writers and rolled out bespoke Write templates that embed reporting best practice and guidance. The result was a step‑change in the quality of board information: papers now surface key issues more clearly, boardroom discussions are more productive, first drafts are much stronger and the secretariat spends less time reworking reports, with the approach adopted more widely across the organisation.
