BNSF Logistics EPLT Solution Helps Manufacturer Complete Facility Move Ahead of Schedule

Brunswick Bowling Products LLP, a premier sporting goods manufacturer, needed to move equipment from its newly acquired competitor’s Kentucky facility on a tight 45-day timeline to avoid liquidation damages. To manage the complex transfer, Brunswick turned to BNSF Logistics and its Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Transportation (EPLT) solution for end-to-end project management and execution.

BNSF Logistics designed a two-phase JIT transportation and logistics plan to dismantle, tag, package, and safely move more than 250 customized machines and accessories from Kentucky to temporary storage in Texas. The project was completed on budget with zero damage and finished 29 days ahead of schedule, eliminating liquidation risk and helping Brunswick prepare for future production expansion.
