BNSF Logistics EPLT PMO Relocates Manufacturing Facility with Complex Machinery Haul and Install

Large Relocate Manufacturing Service Provider needed to relocate its manufacturing line and warehouse to support substantial growth, while minimizing factory downtime. BNSF Logistics provided an Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Transportation (EPLT) relocation service to coordinate the complex move of raw materials, heavy machinery, and finished products.

BNSF Logistics implemented a three-phase plan covering load-out, transport, reassembly, and final equipment calibration, including the relocation of a 200,000-pound Macrodyne Press and make-ready work at the old facility. The project was completed on schedule, the customer moved into a facility three times larger, and manufacturing continued throughout the transition with minimal downtime.
