Case Study: UClan boosts recycling and aims for zero landfill waste with B&M Waste

A B&M Waste Case Study

Preview of the UClan Case Study

UClan - Customer Case Study

UClan, one of the UK’s largest universities, wanted to improve recycling across its Preston Campus and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. To support this challenge, B&M Waste provided waste management services as part of a new three-year partnership.

B&M Waste implemented new recycling and segregation policies tailored to UClan, along with a bin-tagging system to improve collection efficiency. The university was already sending only 3% of its 983 tonnes of waste to landfill, and B&M Waste aims to help achieve 100% diversion from landfill while also reducing costs and carbon emissions.
