North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust worked with B&M Waste to tackle two key challenges: reducing waste to landfill and protecting patient and staff confidentiality ahead of GDPR changes. To address this, the Trust looked for a better waste management approach and a secure shredding service for confidential paperwork.

B&M Waste and B&M Secure Shredding introduced recycling services, diverted non-recyclable waste to energy recovery, and installed 144 lockable shredding consoles across more than 100 Trust sites. As a result, the Trust now sends zero waste to landfill, with confidential documents shredded and 100% recycled. B&M Waste also provides environmental reports showing waste diverted from landfill, trees saved, and car miles reduced, giving the Trust a useful audit trail and evidence for reporting.
