MK2 Real Estate, a Birmingham-based commercial property investment practice, needed a waste subcontractor that aligned with its sustainability goals. At Cumberland House on Broad Street, they were dealing with four separate waste contracts and poor cleanliness and tidiness in the loading bay area, and wanted a greener, more service-focused, cost-effective solution.

B&M Waste implemented a single waste contract for MK2 Real Estate, replacing the four existing arrangements and introducing more food and glass recycling bins on a six-day collection schedule. B&M Waste also supported on-site tenant training and clear signage to improve segregation, resulting in better recycling, one point of contact, and environmental reports showing diversion from landfill and carbon savings that help MK2 demonstrate strong waste management in tenders.
