Merseytravel, the passenger transport executive for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, needed a better way to manage high volumes of waste across its tunnels, bus stations and ferry terminals. Working with B&M Waste, it renewed its waste management contract for a further three years to continue building on recycling initiatives introduced since 2011.

B&M Waste implemented a recycling-led waste solution with recycling, glass and general waste bins at key sites, helping Merseytravel encourage better segregation among staff and the public. The result is a continued push to increase recycling and divert more waste away from landfill, supported by B&M Waste’s ongoing education and service.
