A B&M Waste Case Study
Keylex, a company that provides a wide range of heavy and standard duty mechanical digital and PIN locks for commercial and residential use, wanted to reduce waste to landfill and improve recycling. B&M Waste Services worked with Keylex to assess their site and current waste streams, with the goal of increasing recycling rates and lowering carbon emissions.
B&M Waste Services implemented changes including additional general waste bins and redirected general waste through its Refuse Derived Fuel facility in Trafford Park, Manchester, where it was prepared for energy recovery rather than landfill. This helped Keylex significantly increase recycling levels, and their latest environmental report showed over 90% recycling, with the added benefit of reducing landfill waste and associated carbon emissions.
