A B&M Waste Case Study
Hopwood Hall College, a Rochdale-based college offering a wide range of courses and apprenticeships, wanted to improve the quality of its recycling to match the standards of its education and support services. B&M Waste worked with the college to review its existing waste streams and identify opportunities to increase recycling performance.
B&M Waste then introduced a tailored recycling system with separate bins for glass, food, cardboard and general waste, supported by over-bin posters to guide users on correct disposal. This solution helped Hopwood Hall College achieve over 95% recycling through better waste segregation, with general waste diverted to B&M Waste’s Refuse Derived Fuel process as part of its zero-to-landfill approach.
