Gretna Gateway Outlet Village worked with B&M Waste to streamline its waste management operations and reduce the number of on-site collections, while also improving its environmental credentials. The customer needed a more efficient system that could handle different waste streams and keep the site tidier.

B&M Waste implemented a managed waste solution featuring a telemetry-enabled compactor, segregated bins for retailers, an electric truck and trailer for on-site collections, and separate handling for cardboard, plastic film, food, and glass waste. The result was significantly fewer waste collections, a cleaner and better-organized waste compound, increased recycling rates, and reduced indirect carbon emissions, with some waste streams generating rebate income.
