A B&M Waste Case Study
Eastlands Trust, the operator of 18 state-of-the-art sports facilities in Manchester, needed a world-class waste and recycling service to match its ambitions as a leading sport and leisure provider. To meet this challenge, it worked with B&M Waste Services to improve the handling of commercial waste across its sites.
B&M Waste Services carried out a site audit, then introduced segregated bins for glass, dry mixed recycling, and general waste to improve recycling rates and collection efficiency. Glass and DMR were sent to specialist recycling plants, while general waste was diverted to RDF rather than landfill under B&M Waste Services’ zero-to-landfill policy. As a result, Eastlands Trust achieved 100% recycling through better waste segregation and could track its recycling performance through environmental reports.
