A B&M Waste Case Study
Belle Vale Shopping Centre (BVSC), a busy retail destination in Liverpool with over 60 units and attractions such as Jungle Fun, Xercise4less Gymnasium, and Area 51 Lazer Quest, wanted to reduce its growing waste output and carbon footprint. To support its green ethos, the centre worked with B&M Waste Services to improve waste management and increase recycling across the site.
B&M Waste Services carried out a free site audit and created a bespoke recycling strategy, adding 1100-litre euro bins for polythene plus bins for plastic bottles and drinks cans, alongside a general waste compactor. Staff training, clear signage, and bespoke environmental reports helped BVSC maximise recycling, reduce collections, and ensure all remaining waste was processed through RDF rather than landfill. As a result, Belle Vale Shopping Centre achieved zero waste to landfill and 100% diversion from landfill with B&M Waste.
