Astrum Commercial Cleaning Services, which manages cleaning, facilities and security services across more than 200 sites in the Midlands, needed a reliable and cost-effective waste and recycling partner for its Birmingham customer sites. The company also wanted a solution that supported its environmental sustainability goals, and turned to B&M Waste for help.

B&M Waste carried out an in-depth waste audit across 21 sites and implemented a two-stream system for general waste and mixed recycling, with new bins and regular collections at the busiest locations. Since the partnership began in September 2017, Astrum has achieved a carbon neutral waste management service with zero waste to landfill, saving over 10,000 kg of carbon emissions, equivalent to nine trees and more than 3,000 car miles.
