Amec Foster Wheeler - Customer Case Study

Amec Foster Wheeler, a global engineering and project management company operating in more than 55 countries, needed a more efficient way to manage waste across multiple UK sites. B&M Waste was brought in after a detailed site audit to replace a fragmented, costly, and largely unrecorded waste setup with a single managed service, including general waste, mixed recycling, secure shredding, hazardous waste, and other specialist collections.

B&M Waste implemented tailored segregation bins, site signage, staff training, secure shredding to BS EN 15713 standards, and recycling-focused collection services supported by carbon-neutral waste management. The result was 99.96% diversion from landfill, a reduction in disposal costs, and 280,812.08kg of carbon saved in one year, equivalent to 240 trees or more than 68,000 car miles.
