Scotscape launches smart living walls with Blynk

Scotscape, a UK-based provider of innovative green infrastructure like living walls, faced the challenge of needing to automate plant maintenance and enable real-time monitoring of soil conditions for their products. They aimed to optimize their maintenance process and create a white-label client-facing solution with a web console and mobile apps. To achieve this, they partnered with the vendor Blynk and utilized its IoT platform.

The solution implemented by Blynk involved using their Blynk.Edgent platform to create a user-friendly device activation flow. Blynk set up a dedicated business cloud server, a multi-tenant administration system, and configured branded web and mobile dashboards for device management. The result was a successful IoT solution that automated irrigation and provided real-time monitoring, bringing Scotscape's product to a new level. The vendor Blynk provided extensive support throughout the process, enabling quick prototyping and the launch of the new system.
