Award-winning wi-fi connected airlock by Plaato that changed beer brewing forever

The customer, PLAATO, created an innovative digital airlock for home beer brewing but needed a comprehensive IoT infrastructure to connect their hardware, manage data, and deliver a branded user experience. They partnered with the vendor, Blynk, to rapidly develop a complete solution from prototyping to product launch.

Using Blynk's mobile app builder, cloud server, and hardware API, PLAATO launched its connected product. The Blynk solution enabled features like over-the-air updates and user management, helping PLAATO sell and ship over 1,500 devices from its first batch and successfully raise $205,000 through its Kickstarter campaign.
