Hydro Electronic Devices, Inc. (HED), maker of the CANect™ Telematics platform for off‑highway and mobile equipment, faced challenges scaling telematics operations and monetization: large volumes of disparate equipment data, cellular/over‑the‑air constraints, and gaps in subscription management (renewals, reporting, inventory and billing). After evaluating the market, HED selected BluLogix and its BluIQ platform with ChannelFlow to replace a brittle home‑grown approach and enable a scalable, end‑to‑end monetization strategy.
BluLogix implemented the BluIQ platform and ChannelFlow to catalog assets, integrate multiple data sources, automate provisioning/activation, and manage subscription billing and revenue recognition — extending Billing‑as‑a‑Service down the channel. The result: zero‑touch service activation and invoicing, optimized data connectivity and automated processing across Accounting, Engineering, Sales and Manufacturing, higher customer satisfaction via a real‑time self‑service storefront, increased competitiveness with a new Billing‑as‑a‑Service offering, and measurable operational cost reductions and productivity gains.
