The State-Level Agency, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Central Services provides shared managed computing, storage, network and backup services to state agencies. Facing unsupported billing software, non‑scalable in‑house SQL tools, manual data movement, and rising cloud usage, the agency needed a solution to automate ingestion of usage data, apply chargebacks or vendor pass‑throughs, automate invoicing with an agency portal for validation/approval, and move approvals into accounts payable — BluLogix (BluIQTM) was engaged to address these challenges.

BluLogix implemented its BluIQTM Public Sector Bill‑back/Charge‑back solution to collect and normalize usage from ITSM systems and cloud providers, apply rates or pass‑through charges, generate customizable invoices, present bills for agency validation, and export summaries to the State’s financial accounting system (SFMA). As a result, BluLogix automated billing, eliminated invoice errors, accelerated invoicing and approval cycles, improved vendor validation and payment timeliness, and saved the State thousands of man‑hours annually.
