ARYZTA is a global foodservice and retail baking company with 57 bakeries in 29 countries and well-known brands such as Otis Spunkmeyer and La Brea Bakery. Although ARYZTA had been using BluJay’s Transportation Management System (TMS) for tendering, growing volume and operational complexity — compounded by severe winter weather — revealed they were not fully leveraging the TMS data and capabilities, prompting a move to Logistics as a Service (LaaS).

BluJay’s LaaS team (load planners, system admin, carrier specialist and manager) runs the TMS for ARYZTA and provides analytics-driven decision support, visibility and continuous improvement. Results include a 40% reduction in delivery-date-to-payment batch timing, a 2% improvement in on-time delivery, a 4.5% increase in multi-stop planning and a 57% increase in intermodal use in year one, while freeing ARYZTA’s internal team to focus on core competencies.
