WoundVision - Customer Case Study

WoundVision, a healthcare start-up that uses infrared thermal imaging and personalized patient data to detect and track wounds, needed a secure, scalable cloud platform and stronger vendor support. After initially running on Amazon EC2, the company faced limited support, concerns about data location and compliance, and wanted to avoid the $500,000 cost of building an on‑premises datacenter.

WoundVision migrated its beta application into Bluelock Virtual Datacenters (VMware vCloud), gaining enterprise-grade security (SSAE 16), direct access to firewall and security logs, managed support, and pay-as-you-grow scalability. The solution ran on two VMs (app/web and SQL/file), eliminated large capital expense, reduced operational risk, improved compliance and monitoring, and positioned the company to scale easily with load balancing and redundant VMs as it goes to market.
