Hydrotreat minimizes development risk with Bluefrog Design’s working prototype

Hydrotreat, a company founded by a physiotherapist, commissioned Bluefrog Design to conduct a feasibility study into a novel contrast hydrotherapy procedure. Their challenge was to develop and demonstrate a new technology capable of delivering programmable alternating hot and cold water treatment sessions to speed up the healing of soft tissue injuries, while minimising risk in the development process.

Bluefrog Design researched the field and developed a working prototype of a mobile demonstration unit. This solution was capable of delivering treatments using both open and closed loop systems. With this fully operational prototype from Bluefrog Design, Hydrotreat was able to demonstrate the unit to potential investors, evaluate the system through clinical trials, and gain valuable feedback, thereby minimising financial risk prior to full-scale development.
