LOKE, a leader in mobile loyalty and payments that has deployed over 1,000 loyalty programs, was building a bank-branded mobile payments and smart-ordering app for AFL stadiums. To detect when fans were en route to pick up orders and to provide the bank with real-time proximity data, LOKE needed accurate, enterprise-grade location services and replaced its OS/in-house technology by partnering with Bluedot.
LOKE integrated Bluedot’s proprietary location platform — using high-precision Geolines™, Geofences, the easy-to-use map interface and the Zone Enablement conditioning engine — to create virtual pickup zones, trigger notifications only for purchasers, and capture contextual analytics (foot traffic, peak purchase times, dwell time). The Bluedot-powered app launched at national football matches, enabling fans to skip queues, improving merchant efficiency and sales, and providing the bank with actionable proximity data; the app was used throughout the remainder of the 2016 AFL season.
