A Bluecrux Case Study

Preview of the German Multinational Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Company Case Study

Implementing a mid to long-term planning process and centralized planning organization

Bluecrux worked with a German multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company, one of the world’s largest, to improve service levels by adding mid- to long-term visibility and bringing more stability to the short-term plan. The company also wanted to move toward a future-proof centralized MPS and RCCP planning organization.

Bluecrux supported the transformation pilot by helping design the future supply chain planning operating model, with a focus on organizational redesign and process design, and by creating an interim setup to test how central planning teams and scheduling teams would work together. This led to a mid- to long-term capacity-balanced plan, improved planning and scheduling efficiency, increased schedule stability and service levels, and a centralized planning organization with clear roles and responsibilities between hub and sites.
