Nexstar Digital, led by Andrea Mooney, VP of Audience Platforms, needed a way to unify first-party audience data across multiple platforms, improve audience engagement, and support personalized marketing with a small team. Using BlueConic’s CDP, the team could better understand overlap across known audiences and reduce the manual effort of moving data between systems.
BlueConic enabled Nexstar Digital to run on-site Dialogues for newsletter acquisition, sweepstakes, event promotion, special coverage, and registration experiments directly in the platform. The results were strong: Dialogue-driven newsletter sign-ups produced 73% 7-day email open rates for one national brand, sweepstakes and engagement promos delivered CTRs 10–30x higher than display ads, and new subscribers to the promotional email list increased by about 25%.
