How Holland.com Increased Site Visitors' Consent 2.5x

NBTC Holland Marketing, the team behind Holland.com, needed to update their privacy and consent flow for GDPR in May 2018. While Holland.com previously relied on implied consent, only 28% of visitors were actively opting in and 72% continued browsing without responding; to continue delivering personalized experiences using BlueConic Dialogues, NBTC needed more visitors to explicitly give consent.

NBTC implemented BlueConic’s consent-management and A/B testing capabilities (using BlueConic Dialogues), centering a redesigned consent message and synchronizing consent status across marketing systems with consent stored at the BlueConic profile level. The change increased acceptance from 28% to 75% (a 2.5x uplift), enabled over 500 live personalized site variations managed through BlueConic, and allowed NBTC to deliver and measure tailored offers only to consenting visitors.
