Dover Harbour Board needed a better way to manage CAD documents and search for them quickly, after relying on a handwritten register and then Excel, which were not fit for purpose. They partnered with BlueCielo, using BlueCielo Meridian through consultancy and support from Excitech, to improve document control for the Port of Dover’s engineering and drawing data.

BlueCielo implemented Meridian Enterprise with customization, configuration, training, and support, creating a drawing document management system tailored to the Harbour Board’s needs. The result was better organization and faster document searching, with controlled documents, easier revision tracking, and the ability to link assets to drawings by number; the migration was also described as smooth and required no additional training.
