Case Study: Zurich Airport improves flight operations data management with BlueCielo Meridian from BlueCielo

A BlueCielo Case Study

Preview of the Zurich Airport Case Study

Ensuring Safe and Efficient Flight Operations at Zurich Airport

Zurich Airport, Switzerland’s major transport and meeting hub, needed a better way to manage about 60,000 architectural plans, many of them inconsistent and tracked through an outdated 1992 AS/400 system that was hard to use and unable to support efficient archival workflows. The airport selected BlueCielo and its BlueCielo Meridian solution, with AutoCAD integration and support for migration and cleanup of legacy data.

BlueCielo implemented BlueCielo Meridian with partner Mensch und Maschine, delivering a flexible document and plan management system with automatic PDF creation, role-based access, and streamlined approval, lending, revision, and numbering processes. The project was completed within budget, improved data quality and accessibility, and made document searches faster and data collection more efficient while reducing inconsistencies.
