Controlling Management of Change at Delesto

Delesto, a joint venture of AkzoNobel and Essent and one of Europe’s largest combined power and heat generators, faced challenges after outsourcing engineering activities. It needed better control over management of change, a more up-to-date as-built environment, and a way to exchange engineering documents and manage asset information while maintaining data consistency and quality. BlueCielo Meridian was the vendor product used to address these needs.

BlueCielo implemented BlueCielo Meridian in phased rollouts with integration to AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and SAP PM, plus migration of drawings, documents, scanned archives, and technical data into a central repository. The result was access to more than 55,000 technical documents through a web client, improved document availability and quality, faster emergency access to critical information, and more efficient change control. BlueCielo helped Delesto maintain its license to operate and support operational excellence.
