Case Study: COVRA achieves compliant, up-to-date engineering information management with BlueCielo Meridian from BlueCielo

Compliant Engineering Information Management at Covra

COVRA, the Central Organization for Radioactive Waste in the Netherlands, needed to replace its end-of-life in-house TABS system for managing as-built asset information, documents, objects, and work permits. To stay compliant with the Dutch Nuclear Energy Act and improve control over engineering data, COVRA turned to BlueCielo and its BlueCielo Meridian engineering information management solution, alongside Ultimo Maintenance Management.

BlueCielo implemented Meridian using a phased best-practice approach and migrated about 55,000 documents and 28,000 objects from TABS, adding KKS-based naming and asset structure. The solution integrated with Ultimo so maintenance users could access related technical documentation directly in a web interface, helping COVRA keep information current, improve search and version control, streamline engineering work, and maintain compliance with measurable gains in accessibility, quality, and availability of asset information.
