ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion Trusts BlueCat to Support its State-of-the-art Production and Multimedia Services

ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion, a subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG that provides end-to-end TV production and multimedia services, needed a modern IP Address Management (IPAM) system to replace an outdated, documentation-only solution. The legacy tool lacked consistency checks and did not meet the group’s standards for reliability, scalability or centralized management (including future Windows server integration), so the team sought an upgrade that would standardize processes and support IPv6.

They selected BlueCat (implemented by reseller n3k) and deployed a virtual BlueCat Address Manager plus six BlueCat DNS/DHCP servers configured in HA pairs across two data centers. The implementation met tight timelines, now supports 4,000+ users, and delivered higher reliability and resiliency, faster and simplified IP/core service provisioning, standardized network processes, and an upgradeable, IPv6-ready IPAM platform that was later rolled out across the ProSiebenSat.1 group.
