A global provider of eCommerce and payment solutions wanted to replace its VitalQIP IPAM after losing confidence in the parent company’s investment and fearing product stagnation. Although motivated to move, the customer was reluctant to risk disruption to core services because their existing VitalQIP deployment was reasonably stable and they operated a mixed environment including VitalQIP, Infoblox and Microsoft components.

BlueCat delivered a migration approach that provided a common interface giving simultaneous access to VitalQIP and BlueCat, easing cut-over timing and lowering migration risk.
