W&W Informatik is the IT subsidiary of Germany’s Wüstenrot & Württembergische Group, managing a large, distributed network of about 50,000 IP addresses and 20,000 users (including 15,000 remote workers and 4,500 remote offices) with a two-person DDI team. Their legacy DDI system—used for nearly 15 years—was outdated, fragmented (DNS and DHCP on separate systems), struggled with high DDNS volumes, caused periodic VOIP outages, and could not support their move to private cloud, VMware automation or rapid office growth.
