The Walsh Group Boosts Civil Jobsite Mobility With Revu for Ipad

The Walsh Group, a national general contractor, managed a $76 million I‑75 expansion near Atlanta in 2019 that included a tunnel bridge, retaining walls, utility relocations and extensive paving. The project’s seven‑mile footprint and tight two‑year schedule made coordination difficult: teams relied on large paper plans that were slow to update, costly to print, and prone to miscommunication between office and field.

The team deployed Bluebeam Revu for iPad (with Studio and hyperlinked project dashboards) to push revision sets and markups directly to tablets, enabling photo- and voice-enabled field reporting, quick navigation to details, and custom quantity tracking. The change cut printing costs by an estimated $10,000–$15,000, reduced information errors and rework, sped decision-making across the jobsite, and improved productivity and owner transparency.
