The Connecticut DOT Keeps Their Project Documents Organized with Revu

The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s AEC Applications Division, responsible for electronic design standards and CAD/CAM support, moved to Bluebeam Revu to cut paper and standardize PDF plans. Their challenge: large consolidated plan sets needed to be digitally signed, but any change to a signed multi-page PDF forced the entire file to be reprocessed — a slow, cumbersome task whenever a revision or addendum occurred.

CT DOT adopted Revu’s Sets feature to view many separate, signed files as a single navigable document, allowing them to revise and re-sign only the affected file rather than the whole set. The result: faster, more organized workflows, easy cross-file searching, standardized markups and collaborative reviews via Bluebeam Studio, and a significant reduction in time and effort when managing plan revisions.
