Revu Helps UK Contractor Forcia Complete Renovations in Historic Piccadilly Circus Building

Forcia Ltd., a UK refurbishment contractor known for sensitive work in historic London buildings, was engaged to renovate a stone‑fronted arcade near Piccadilly Circus. The challenge was to remove a 200‑ton load‑bearing column blocking the arcade entrance to improve pedestrian flow and retail visibility — all while the eight‑story building remained occupied and tenant disruption had to be minimised.

Forcia used Bluebeam Revu to iterate designs, overlay multi‑disciplinary drawings and share 3D visuals with engineers, architects, contractors and owners, enabling rapid collaboration and buy‑in. The team devised a solution to transfer the load to a large horizontal steel beam, executed the removal with minimal disturbance and completed the project in about 12 months — reopening the arcade, reducing coordination errors and improving commercial access for shoppers.
