COWI Chooses Bluebeam Revu as its Enterprise-Wide PDF Solution

COWI is a leading northern European engineering consultancy behind major projects like Denmark’s Great Belt Bridge and Italy’s planned Messina Bridge. As PDF usage grew across the firm, most employees only had viewers and Adobe Acrobat proved too expensive; COWI needed an affordable, easy-to-use enterprise solution that supported professional PDF creation/markup, high-quality CAD-to-PDF conversion, and flexible options for both basic and power users.

After evaluating alternatives, COWI rolled out Bluebeam Revu enterprise‑wide—Revu Standard for administrative staff (Office plugins, PDF printer, and page assembly) and Revu CAD for engineers (AutoCAD/Revit plugins, MicroStation printing, measurement and markup tools). The change sped up report production, enabled digital redlining and quality control of drawings, and is being extended to standardize electronic commenting and integrate with ProjectWise and SharePoint for a more digital workflow.
