CADFORCE Leverages Bluebeam Revu to Streamline the Delivery of Project Information Directly from BIM

CADFORCE, an architectural services firm, was engaged by the Los Angeles Department of Public Works to manage BIM development for the $208.5M Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Center Inpatient Tower after the owner moved the project from traditional 2D CAD to Revit/Navisworks BIM mid-design. The primary challenge was coordinating and delivering a massive mix of 2D and 3D deliverables—contractor as-builts, record Revit models and models from multiple sources—while keeping information accessible to a project team and owner with varying BIM expertise.

CADFORCE created a BIM execution and management plan and used Bluebeam Revu to produce and organize linked 2D and 3D PDFs, catalog contractor deliverables, hyperlink equipment, schedules and details, and capture annotations and punch items digitally. The result: BIM data remained accessible without specialized software, updates could be continuously shared downstream, and the project is positioned for smooth turnover and operations with a sustainable “Lifecycle BIM” approach.
