Briab (Brand & Riskingenjörerna AB) is a Swedish fire protection engineering and risk management consultancy that reviews MEP, HVAC and site drawings to ensure building-code compliance. The firm’s review process was paper-based, making cross-discipline coordination, repeated annotations and jobsite inspections slow and cumbersome, so Briab sought a PDF-based solution that would handle large-format drawings, industry-standard markups and mobile field review.

Briab deployed Bluebeam Revu on desktop and iPad, using customizable annotations, measurement tools and a reusable Tool Chest to digitize reviews, verify code requirements and place common symbols quickly. Consultants now review and comment onsite, attach photos to plans for context, and complete work far faster — eliminating printing/shipping and improving the detail, clarity and efficiency of their plan reviews.
