Barton Malow Transforms Daytona International Speedway

Barton Malow led the $400M DAYTONA Rising renovation of Daytona International Speedway — a massive, live-site transformation that had to remain operational for signature races and meet a hard January 2016 completion date. The project’s scale and tight schedule produced roughly 150,000 electronic files and required a single source of truth so teams could work confidently on the latest drawings amid frequent shutdowns for events.

Barton Malow implemented paperless workflows with Bluebeam Revu and Studio, requiring all trades to use the platform for real-time collaboration, digital submittals, automated document comparison, and Batch Link hyperlinking. The result was faster reviews and fewer errors, dramatically reduced manual work, improved transparency among owner, designer and contractors, and delivery of the project on time and on budget — culminating in the first DAYTONA 500 in the renovated stadium in February 2016.
