Teva UK Limited, a major supplier of pharmaceutical products to the UK health service, needed to scale a temperature‑controlled, batch‑tracked supply chain while meeting stringent quality and regulatory requirements. Facing growing complexity, the company built a new logistics centre and evaluated eight technology providers for a warehouse management solution with advanced automation (automated storage/retrieval, pick‑by‑light, powered conveyors and paperless operation), ultimately selecting JDA Warehouse Management for its industry experience.

JDA’s solution was integrated across Teva’s 280,000 sq ft facility to manage goods‑in, automated high‑bay storage, pick zones, conveyors and dispatch routing — supporting storage of 24,500+ pallets (2,808 in the automated high‑bay), ~850 SKUs, and ~140 orders/day (≈9,200 carton picks). The result: pick‑rate accuracy above 99%, higher dispatch volumes per shift, improved customer delivery satisfaction, cost savings and a scalable, compliant operation.
