Praxis, one of the Netherlands’ largest DIY chains with 139 stores and about 4,500 employees, needed to balance efficiency, effectiveness and customer service in daily employee planning. The retailer sought a solution to ensure the right people were scheduled at the right time and place while avoiding excess capacity and high workloads.
Working with JDA Consulting and Capgemini, Praxis implemented JDA Workforce Management in three months and rolled it out to 80 stores within four weeks. The solution increased visibility into workloads and employee availability, ensured proper staffing levels, lowered individual workloads, freed up time for customer service, and gave headquarters better foresight to support and align store planning.
